Boundary-Driven Oscillator Attractors: A Unified Physical Framework for Particle Trapping Across Hydrodynamic, Acoustic, Inertial, and Electric Regimes
Abstract
This work presents a unified, boundary-first physical framework showing how oscillatory systems generate stable particle attractors through gradients and dissipation, independent of application domain. Hydrodynamic vortex trapping, inertial focusing, acoustic node confinement, and electric dielectrophoresis are treated as regime-dependent manifestations of the same underlying oscillator-driven physics, distinguished only by the dominant coupling field and particle response scale. Keywords. boundary-driven oscillators; particle attractors; vortex trapping; inertial focusing; acoustic trapping; dielectrophoresis; oscillatory flows; shear-driven systems; unified physics
