Abstract

This paper establishes an impossibility result for metric, quantitative, or graded accounts of admissibility within a closed epistemic framework. It proves that admissibility cannot be measured, scored, optimized, or partially satisfied without violating standing conservation. Any attempt to introduce admissibility metrics—continuous or discrete, probabilistic or heuristic—is shown to reintroduce hidden parameters, deferred thresholds, or illicit scope transport, collapsing admissibility. The analysis is strictly eliminative and non-constructive: it introduces no new primitives, specifies no procedures, and provides no evaluative or operational metrics. The result functions as a boundary theorem, ruling out metric or graded treatments of admissibility in closed systems.
