Abstract

This is a practical worksheet for students and educators using AI tools in writing tasks. It adapts Ferdows’ Sand Cone model to build writing capability in layers: (1) Quality (verify facts and sources), (2) Dependability (repeatable process and source fidelity), (3) Speed (time-boxed AI support for structure and editing), and (4) Efficiency (reduce rework and archive reusable fragments). Pages 3 and 4 are the checklist. Pages 5 and 6 provide a worked example showing how to use the sheet before submitting an assignment.Suggested use: a 5–10 minute pre-submission check, a tutorial activity, or a short in-class integrity/literacy routine.
