TimberFlow: Enhancing Efficiency in Mass Timber Construction Through Innovative Design Practices and Capacity Building

Timber Design Tool (Eurocode 5) is a Python desktop application (PyQt5 GUI) for preliminary design checks of timber members and connections based on Eurocode-style workflows. Main features include:• Timber material property database (solid timber, glulam, LVL) with design factors.• Beam sizing & analysis (bending and serviceability deflection checks).• Column sizing & analysis including buckling stability parameters and interaction-style checks.• Connection design module with fastener options and ULS-style load input (direct Ed or actions-based).• Plot/visualisation support via Matplotlib and export support via OpenPyXL. Intended use: research/education and preliminary design only. Results must be independently verified and used with professional engineering judgement.
