Abstract

This paper analyzes commitment interaction and propagation as a structural constraint within admissible epistemic systems. It shows that commitments are not locally isolable: once entered, they propagate through admissible envelopes according to standing conservation, constraining all downstream claims. Attempts to compartmentalize, defer, probabilistically soften, or governance-mask commitments are shown to fail by exhaustion. The result establishes commitment propagation as a necessity condition rather than a behavioral choice, with direct consequences for artificial epistemic agents. No algorithms, workflows, or implementation procedures are presented; the analysis is purely structural and necessity-based.
