Consequences of Artificial Standing Failure
Abstract
This paper derives the structural consequences of standing failure in artificial epistemic agents. It shows that once standing is lost, all downstream claims become inadmissible, regardless of accuracy, usefulness, or apparent success. Standing failure is proven to be non-local, non-repairable, and globally propagating across scopes and representations. Attempts to mitigate failure through probabilistic validation, performance benchmarks, governance overlays, or post-hoc justification are eliminated by exhaustion. The paper contains no algorithms or construction guidance and establishes standing failure as a terminal epistemic condition rather than a correctable defect.
