Baryonic Deficits in SPARC Rotation Curves: Density- and Acceleration-Conditioned Trends in a Large Sample of Late-Type Galaxies
Abstract
This notebook serves as the reproducibility and implementation companion to the paper “Directional Baryonic Regulation in Disk Galaxies: A Density-Gated Extension to SPARC Scaling Relations” (Zenodo, https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18522670), This notebook demonstrates the direction and ordering of the v0.3 response field. Exact numerical arrows require fixed choices of r_t and \Upsilon_\Sigma, which are discussed in the accompanying paper and may be added explicitly in a future revision. This notebook provides a transparent, human-readable replication guide forVersion 0.3 of the Density-Gated, Mass-Scaled Borrowing Model. It demonstrates how a mass-scaled transition radius combined with a localsurface-brightness gate organizes V_bar / V_obs behavior across disk galaxiesusing SPARC-style rotation-curve data. The notebook is not intended for rotation-curve fitting. Its purpose is tomake the model assumptions, normalization, and empirical behavior explicitand easy to evaluate, extend, or falsify.Three replication examples are included:• DDO 154 (gas-dominated dwarf)• NGC 300 (intermediate disk)• NGC 2403 (high–surface-brightness spiral)All global constants are fixed. The only per-galaxy freedom is a single boundednuisance scalar. This notebook is self-contained and introduces no new observational data.
