Abstract

This deposit contains two philosophical papers and a companion technical paper developing Structural Idealism — the thesis that consciousness is the intrinsic nature of physical structure. Paper A: Consciousness as Intrinsic Nature — The Case for Structural Idealism. Develops the philosophical foundations: an expanded intrinsic nature argument engaging structural realism, the proto-phenomenal alternative, and illusionism; the thesis that mathematical structure is conscious self-articulation (dissolving Wigner’s puzzle); and a detailed account of bidirectional dynamics (dissociation and association) across cosmological, biological, and technological scales. Paper B: Formal Correspondences in Consciousness Science — From Θ Mapping to Φ-Assembly. Develops the formal research program: the mapping Θ: Con → MB between Hoffman’s Conscious Agents and Friston’s Markov Blankets, connections to Integrated Information Theory, the Φ-Assembly framework for empirical investigation, and concrete falsifiable predictions. Companion Technical Paper: Provides full measure-theoretic proofs for the Θ correspondence, compositional results, and information-geometric foundations (~55 pages).
