Abstract

This paper establishes standing as the non-degeneracy condition that excludes closure universalizers. It shows that any attempt to introduce a universal closure operator, global solver, or all-encompassing explanatory mechanism collapses admissibility by erasing standing-preserving distinctions. By exhaustion, all closure-universalizer strategies—mathematical, logical, computational, or governance-based—are eliminated as structurally degenerative. The result fixes standing as the boundary that preserves non-degeneracy while still permitting maximal closure. No universal operators, algorithms, or construction methods are provided; the argument is necessity-based and eliminative.
