Abstract

India’s rural landscape — home to over 65% of its population — remains an underutilized living laboratory for student learning and national development. This paper proposes a government-backed model in which students across educational levels gain structured, certificate-bearing practical experience by directly engaging with rural development challenges. By linking policy frameworks like the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 with existing programs such as Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and Student READY, we argue that a coordinated “Village Experiential Framework” can simultaneously drive student competency, community upliftment, and grassroots innovation. But in this part 2 paper we discuss in detail the length of this program expected, what benefits it can bring and why it needs to be done.
