Education is a prime example.“Do not confuse.”“Do not let them fail.”“Lead them quickly to the correct answer.”These ideas appear kind, considerate, and progressive. At the same time, they gradually removed the space required for thinking. Answers are given before premises are explained.Choices are demanded before situations are understood. What emerges is not judgment, but a refined ability to guess the correct response. AI follows the same path.“It understands without explanation.”“It thinks for you.”“It summarizes neatly.”All of this is convenient.Yet without premises and constraints, AI does not judge—it merely optimizes for human approval. This is not a technological issue. It is a question of where agency is placed. Education was meant to cultivate thinking.AI was meant to extend it.Now, both reinforce a world that can function without thinking. Freedom remains. But the capacity to exercise freedom quietly erodes. This is not regression. It is the consequence of design. And design, if left unquestioned, always drifts toward management. The next question is unavoidable:Is there still room to reclaim thinking? Protection Notice This text does not intend to promote or oppose any specific ideology, religion, or political stance.
