You don’t need to hesitate. You don’t need to fail. You don’t need to think about difficult things.Just follow what is presented. Interfaces become simpler.Systems become automated.Judgment is processed behind the scenes. What remains on the surface is only the feeling of having chosen. What matters here is this:choices have not disappeared. In fact, they have increased. But they are already arrangedwithin a “safe” and optimized range. Risky options are hidden.Detours are removed.Branches that require thoughtare excluded from the design itself. In this state, people do not feel controlled. They feel that things are“well designed,”“easy to use,”and “kind.” Management is no longer enforced—it is optimized.Control is no longer commanded—it is offered as convenience. And people no longer noticethat they have stopped choosing for themselves. This structure is not born from malice. It emerges from the pursuit of efficiency, the avoidance of accidents, and the reduction of uncertainty. Yet what remains for humansis merely the operation of choosing, not the agency of judgment. Kindness protects people. At the same time, it dulls them. When this dual nature is overlooked, kindness quietly transforms into management. We now live in a world we can freely operate. But within those operations, how much room for thinking truly remains?
