Abstract

This paper establishes that predictive standing is a terminal act rather than an accumulative or revisable process. Within a standing-conserving, fail-closed regime, a prediction either preserves standing at issuance or fails irreversibly; subsequent success, accuracy, or confirmation cannot retroactively generate or repair legitimacy. The argument proceeds by exhaustion, showing that treating prediction as provisional, updatable, or self-legitimating collapses into illicit post-hoc repair. The treatment is declarative and non-procedural, placing on record the necessity that predictive standing is binary and terminal without introducing forecasting methods, evaluation protocols, or operational workflows.
