What is needed is simple:the will to reclaim agency. Thinking is not about becoming smarter. It is not about approaching the correct answer. It is the act ofexamining premises. Why am I being asked to choose this? Why are only these options visible? Why is no time given to hesitate? Returning even one of these questionschanges how the world appears. What matters is not trying to change the world.Attempts to change itare easily absorbed into new forms of management. What must be preserved isagency within oneself. When using AI,do not delegate blindly.Provide premises.State constraints.Clarify intent. When engaging in education,do not rush answers.Do not eliminate failure.Allow detours. This is inefficient. It takes time.It is rarely rewarded. Yet only within that inefficiencydoes the capacity to think remain. Those who choose to thinkare a minority in this world. They feel isolated. They feel discomfort. Still, only those who refuse to stop thinkingunderstand that freedomis not something granted, but something assumed. False freedom is easy, light, and gentle. But it is not designed for long lives. To choose thinkingis to accept inconvenience,to carry uncertainty, and nevertheless,to stand on one’s own feet. As long as this choice remains possible, this worldis not yet completely sealed.
