M3 Domains of Legitimacy
Abstract
This paper delineates the distinct domains within which legitimacy can be meaningfully evaluated under admissibility and standing conservation. It shows that legitimacy is domain-relative and non-transferable: standing established in one domain cannot be carried, inferred, or amplified into another. The analysis proceeds by exhaustion, demonstrating that cross-domain legitimacy claims inevitably rely on illicit scope transport, analogy, or metaphor and therefore fail closed. The result is classificatory and negative rather than constructive, placing on record the structural boundaries that separate domains of legitimacy without proposing coordination mechanisms, bridging procedures, or operational rules.
