Abstract

This study examines how technology facilitates the promotion of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) within Social Work Education in Gujarat through the perspectives of 150 social work teachers. With the rise of digital pedagogies and the policy mandates of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP-2020), educators have increasing opportunities to integrate indigenous knowledge with modern teaching technologies. The findings reveal that technology supports access to IKS resources, enhances collaborative learning, and enables multimedia representations of indigenous practices. However, institutional barriers, digital literacy gaps, and limited localized content constrain effective implementation. Recommendations include capacity building, resource development, and strategic policy alignment for sustainable integration. The study highlights the transformative potential of technology in achieving culturally rooted and future-oriented social work education.
