L6 Structural Novelty III New Failure Modes
Abstract
This paper completes the structural novelty trilogy by showing that new failure modes can arise after closure by exhaustion, without reopening, extending, or weakening any closed structure. These failures are not errors of execution, approximation, or implementation, but previously unrealized inadmissibilities revealed under novel admissible configurations. The central result is that closure constrains what can succeed, not what can fail. As new admissible witnesses or envelope intersections occur, they may expose failure modes that were structurally latent but not previously instantiated. Such failures do not indicate incompleteness or breakdown of the framework; they are confirmatory consequences of closure. This paper blocks a common misinterpretation: treating post-closure failure as evidence against maximal closure. Instead, failure is shown to be an expected and structurally bounded outcome within a closed admissible space. No constructions, diagnostic procedures, or operational tests are introduced. The analysis is strictly structural and exhaustion-based. Keywords: structural failure modes, admissibility, closure by exhaustion, standing, novelty, epistemic limits
