Modified Relativity Theory – Short Version
Abstract
This article presents Modified Relativity Theory (MTR), an alternative ontological interpretation of relativity in which relativistic effects are understood as physical scalings of time, length, and mass determined by the elastic tension state of space, rather than as purely geometric effects of curved spacetime. The mathematical structure of relativity is preserved in the local regime, while its ontological foundation is reformulated. Within this framework, a range of persistent cosmological and observational anomalies — including dark matter–related phenomena, large-scale anisotropies, and certain dynamical deviations observed in planetary and interstellar motion — can be understood as manifestations of a single underlying physical mechanism. The article derives a concrete, falsifiable prediction: that highly precise atomic clocks in low Earth orbit may periodically exhibit time deviations with the opposite sign to the kinematic time dilation predicted by special relativity. The PHARAO/ACES mission is identified as a suitable experimental platform for testing this prediction.
