Abstract

This record contains the seven practice guidelines that together define the complete operational architecture of Distributed Spiral Learning (DSL). The guidelines describe how DSL sessions are structured and delivered in practice, including entry architecture, safety signalling, grouping and regrouping, selective challenge, energy management, narrative use, and the gradual transition of responsibility. The seven guidelines are designed to be read as a set. Individual guidelines are not intended to be applied in isolation, as each addresses a specific architectural element that depends on the others for coherence and safety. This document set supplements the Distributed Spiral Learning White Paper (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18518271), which provides the theoretical foundation and rationale for the framework. Together, the White Paper and Practice Guidelines define the DSL model for practitioners.
