From Tension to Gauge Structure: How the Standard Model Emerges from the Projection of Pre-Coherent Possibility
Abstract
The Quantum Blueprint Formalism (QBF) describes physical reality as the projection πΘ: Ms → MΘ from a unique pre-coherent possibility space to a coherence manifold. Previous papers have derived quantum mechanics (Schmieke, 2026r), spacetime (Schmieke, 2026n), and gravity (Schmieke, 2026n) from this projection. Schmieke (2026o) established that the projection is not unique: a landscape of possible physics exists. This paper addresses the deepest remaining question: Why does our projection produce the specific gauge group SU(3)×SU(2)×U(1) and three generations of fermions? We establish results at four levels. First, gauge symmetries arise as automorphisms of the tension functional Φ. Second, the admissibility conditions (A1)–(A3) constrain the gauge group to be compact, connected, and of rank ≤ 4. Third, anomaly cancellation (derived from (A1)) and chirality (from circulation Ωs) constrain the matter content. Fourth, GUT embedding yields quantitative predictions: the Weinberg angle sin²θW ≈ 0.231, charge quantization in units of 1/3, proton instability with τp ~ 10³⁴⁻³⁶ years, and exactly one CP-violating phase. This revision incorporates a systematic circularity audit identifying and correcting two significant hidden assumptions, strengthening four arguments, and adding nine new derivable features of the Standard Model not present in the original version.
