The Photon Momentum and the Local Emergence of Information
Abstract
This work presents a causal reinterpretation of the photon that clearly distinguishes physical interaction from information generation. While photons transfer conserved quantities such as energy and momentum, information is shown to emerge locally from the structured response of matter to repeated interactions. By separating momentum and energy from informational content, this framework preserves established experimental results while reducing conceptual ambiguities surrounding photon-mediated processes.
