Abstract

This companion paper examines the Cellular Architect Hypothesis of Consciousness (CAHC) from the standpoint of philosophy of science, focusing on its implications for emergence, mechanistic explanation, biological agency, and theory construction in the life sciences. It situates CAHC within debates in philosophy of biology, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of cognitive science, and analyzes how CAHC reframes explanatory norms, reductionism, and the demarcation of consciousness. The paper highlights CAHC as a case study in conceptual innovation under technological constraints.
