Code to reproduce figures from "Magnetic and Observational Effects on the Initial Magnetic Field Distributions of O and B-type Stars"
Abstract
This repository contains the data and code required to reproduce the figures presented in: Ramirez Delgado V. et al. (2026), "Magnetic and Observational Effects of the Initial Magnetic Field Distributions of O and B-type Stars", ApJ. This version (v1.1) updates the archive with revised notebooks, a corrected reproducible environment, and additional documentation. The ZIP archive includes:- data/: output files from our population synthesis simulations, for both starburst and constant star formation scenarios, including a grid of runs with different initial magnetic field distribution parameters.- notebooks/: Jupyter notebooks to reproduce each figure of the paper, along with the Python modules they depend on.- grids/: grids of non-magnetic and magnetic MESA stellar evolution models from Keszthelyi et al. (2022) used to plot evolutionary tracks and to compute main-sequence lifetimes.- environment/: the conda environment needed to run the notebooks.- figures/: the output figures and animations of figures 1, 3, 5 and 6 produced by the notebooks. The structure of the archive and the steps to reproduce the figures are described in the README.md.
