Abstract

21.135 seismic-stratigraphic columns representing homogeneous amplification zones were chosen as representative stratigraphic columns for all the Italian territory.1 response spectrum selected from national hazard modeling was chosen as seismic input. Simulations were then executed. Amplification factors were then computed in the three period intervals: 0.1–0.5 s, 0.4–0.8 s, and 0.7–1.1 s to estimate the local seismic amplification.
