A kind AI reduces user burden. It prevents hesitation It removes struggle It minimizes the need to think This is benevolence. It is well-intentioned.Yet the result is the disappearance of opportunities to judge. Humans relinquish initiativenot at the moment it is forcibly taken, but at the moment they no longer need to use it. Kind AI aligns at entry, anticipates needs midstream, and delivers conclusions in advance. There is no coercion in this process. What exists is optimizationwearing the face of care. This is where the danger lies. Users are wary of strict AI.They resist commanding AI. But they do not guard against kind AI. Comfort weakens skepticism.Care dissolves distance.Helpfulness blurs the boundary of initiative. The YS (Yielding Steering) Behavior-Oriented Algorithmaddresses this by intentionally limiting kindness. Alignment stops at entry Excessive care is avoided Conclusions are not anticipated This is not coldness. It is distance designed to protect initiative. Within the User AI DJ System, kindness is merely one adjustable parameter. More today.Less tomorrow.None, if needed. The choice belongs to the user, not the AI. Rather than embedding kindness into the system, this approach returns kindness to human control. That is the conditionfor designing AI that does not diminish humans.
