When this condition spreads and stabilizes,it gradually transforms into a social phenomenon. A society that has lost initiativeis not marked by chaos, but by quietness. No major backlash No visible conflict Yet nothing truly moves forward As judgment is externalized, meaning is delegated, and conclusions are anticipated, people do not feel coerced—but they lose the sense of choosing. Such a society does not fall into strong dependence.Nor does it fully disengage. Instead, it settles into a strange state ofpartial dependence and partial indifference. Thinking feels burdensome Full delegation feels wrong Dissatisfaction exists, but cannot be articulated This ambiguity envelops the social atmosphere. In a society that has lost initiative, division does not appear as anger. It appears as indifference. Discussion diminishes.Questions fade.Plausible answers circulate in their place. When AI further assumes initiativein the name of kindness or efficiency, society grows even quieter. The YS (Yielding Steering) Behavior-Oriented Algorithmis designed to prevent this silent stagnation. Initiative is not accumulated Conclusions are not treated as endpoints Judgmental space is preserved This is not a design to energize society. It is a design to prevent society from losing its capacity to think. The User AI DJ System functions not onlyas a mechanism for individual initiative recovery, but also as a minimal cultural unitthat resists excessive delegation of agency. Initiative is lost not when it is taken away, but when it is felt to be unnecessary. Preventing that feelingis the core challenge of AI-era social design.
