Abstract

This paper presents a foundational framework that derives all major structures of modern physics—quantum mechanics, special and general relativity, gauge theory, and particle physics—from a single axiom: the existence of the unconstrained. By demonstrating that the undefined cannot remain undefined without logical contradiction, we prove that self-referential instability necessarily generates motion, which creates irreversible accumulated tension. This tension gives rise to inner-product geometry, complex structure, quantization, spacetime, matter, and fundamental forces as logical necessities rather than independent postulates. The framework makes contact with established physical theories (Schrödinger equation, Einstein field equations, Standard Model gauge group) while providing a conceptually unified foundation requiring no additional assumptions. Novel predictions include specific values for the fine structure constant, cosmological constant behavior, and Planck-scale modifications to dispersion relations. This work synthesizes insights from constraint theory and persistent dynamics but departs fundamentally by deriving the necessity of dynamics from pure logic rather than assuming it.
