Thermodynamics disorder and stability in the open system
Abstract
This paper presents a symbolic and scientific interpretation of ancient mythological narratives—specifically the concept of a sealed gate associated with Gog and Magog—through the lens of chemistry, thermodynamics, and modern technological observation. By examining organic decay, clay–water interactions, and environmental exposure (rain, humidity, temperature), the study reframes mythological symbols such as the “gate,” the “peg,” and the “barrier” as representations of physical constraints, material stability, and entropy-driven system breakdown. The analysis does not assert literal historical or supernatural events, but rather explores how symbolic language emerges from human attempts to describe irreversible physical processes and technological mediation in open systems.
