Prevalence of Prosocial Behaviors among Students of the University of Guilan
Abstract
Prosocial behaviors have significant individual and social impacts. The study of prosocial behaviors, particularly within specific populations such as university students, requires further investigation. Therefore, the present study aimed to examine the prevalence of prosocial behaviors among students of the University of Guilan. This study was conducted on 221 female and 104 male students selected through random sampling. Data were collected using the Prosocial Behavior Scale (PBS) developed by Penner et al. The findings of this study indicate important implications for the development and promotion of prosocial behaviors among university students.
