Abstract

CHAD-ASK – LimeSurvey Questionnaire This deposit contains Version 1.0 of the LimeSurvey questionnaire developed for CHAD-ASK, a semi-automatic approach that formalises domain experts’ knowledge collected via surveys into executable semantic mapping rules for RDF generation. CHAD-ASK bridges human-centred data collection practices and machine-actionable Linked Data workflows. Through a structured questionnaire, domain experts are guided to articulate configuration choices, data conventions, and modelling decisions, which are subsequently translated into YARRRML mapping rules and Morph-KGC configuration files. The conceptual foundations, workflow, and use cases of CHAD-ASK are described in detail in the associated scientific article, which will be presented at the IRCDL 2026 conference under the title CHAD ASK: Experimenting with a semi-automatic approach based on online surveys to formalise unstructured knowledge in Linked Data. (Sebastian Barzaghi, Arianna Moretti, Ivan Heibi, Silvio Peroni) The questionnaire is archived in two complementary export formats, intended for documentation, transparency, and reproducibility purposes: Printable Survey (HTML export) Distributed as a .zip archive containing an HTML representation of the questionnaire in all available languages, together with the required stylesheets. The survey can be opened locally in any modern browser and is intended for human-readable documentation, inspection, and long-term accessibility. No LimeSurvey execution logic is included: relevance equations, conditions, and internal survey mechanics are not preserved and must be interpreted manually. queXML PDF export Generated via the queXML format, an XML-based description of questionnaires designed for printable, fillable, and scannable forms. This export enables the creation of a static PDF representation of the questionnaire structure. Limitations: queXML does not support all LimeSurvey question types and does not preserve conditions or complex logic; therefore, it is not suitable as a full backup of the LimeSurvey project.
