Spin as Space-Phase Transport: A Stern–Gerlach Reinterpretation in SP3
Abstract
The concept of spin entered physics as a name applied to a stubborn, quantized behaviorobserved in matter, most notably through the Stern–Gerlach experiment. Although spin hasbeen mathematically successful, its physical interpretation has remained strained whenframed as literal rotation or intrinsic angular momentum. In this paper, we reinterpret spinwithin the SP3 (Space‑Phase 3) framework as a mode of transport and coupling betweenmatter and a conditioned space‑phase medium. The Stern–Gerlach experiment isreexamined as a direct probe of space‑phase structure rather than a measurement of aninternal particle property. This conversational paper argues that the historical act ofnaming spin preceded recognition of the medium responsible for the observed quantizationand that SP3 restores causal order by placing space‑phase first.
