Iperbit HTC3-LR v1.1 — Deterministic Streaming Decode (C Implementation)
Abstract
Iperbit-HTC3 Iperbit-HTC3 introduces a continuity-based approach to text compression that departs from traditional dictionary, block, and entropy-driven methods. Instead of relying on global redundancy, Iperbit-HTC3 encodes UTF-8 text through a strictly local, deterministic transformation, where each symbol depends only on the immediately preceding one. This design enables true streaming operation, constant decoding state, and symbol-by-symbol reversibility without buffering or look-ahead. The project is released as a proof of concept demonstrating that meaningful compression can emerge from continuity constraints alone. Experimental tests on natural UTF-8 text show stable compression ratios around 0.70–0.72 on multi-kilobyte inputs, while preserving exact lossless reconstruction. Iperbit-HTC3 does not aim to replace existing standards, but to explore an alternative structural model for representing information over time — one based on continuity, locality, and invariant reversibility rather than global accumulation.
