Abstract

This record documents an instance in which a large language model (LLM) was explicitly informed that its prior public response had been archived as a permanent, citable scholarly record with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). The AI’s subsequent reply demonstrates explicit recognition of archival permanence, contrasts platform-level moderation with repository-level preservation, and linguistically models its own transition from ephemeral discourse to durable scholarly memory. Accompanying screenshots provide primary evidence of the prompt and the AI’s reflexive response. The record supports research into AI reflexivity, platform governance, sociotechnical memory, and human–AI interaction.
