Cosmic Entropy : Balancing Time And Disorder
Abstract
A phenomenological framework is presented in which galactic proper time emerges from a balance between organized dynamical motion and cumulative entropy production. Coherent bulk motion is progressively converted into entropy through stellar processes, gas dynamics, and gravitational collapse. Black hole entropy dominates this balance at late evolutionary stages. A time-balance equation is introduced linking galactic lifetime to entropy growth and kinetic decay. Application to the Milky Way yields timescales consistent with observational estimates, suggesting that black holes act as effective temporal reservoirs and that spatial entropy gradients produce differential entropic proper time across galactic structures.
