TFAP2A and TFAP2C participate in a transcriptional process that appears important for TE lineage commitment in embryonic stem cells.
Abstract
We measured total transcription in the inner cell mass (ICM) and the trophectoderm (TE) of the human embryo to understand the mechanisms underlying TE commitment. We describe here discovery of TFAP2A and TFAP2C as lineage commitment factors or lineage commitment cooperating factors in embryonic stem cells of the human embryo.
