A Universal Scaling Constant from Cosmic Voids: Prediction of Anomalous Decoherence in Fullerene Interference
Abstract
10.5281/zenodo.18565464 This work presents a unified geometric framework linking cosmological struc-ture formation to quantum decoherence phenomena. A statistical analysis of 651cosmic voids from four independent large-scale structure catalogs reveals a dis-crete hierarchy of characteristic scales following Ln = L0 · κn. The best-fit pro-gression constant is κ = 0.8903 ± 0.018, statistically indistinguishable from therational fraction 8/9 (p = 0.95, combined significance > 5σ). Bayesian modelcomparison yields decisive evidence for this geometric progression over standardcontinuous distributions (Bayes factor B10 > 105). Hypothesizing that this scalingconstant is fundamental, we predict its manifestation in other scale-invariant sys-tems, specifically in the quantum decoherence of complex molecules. We derive aparameter-free formula for the relative quantum interference visibility of fullerenes:V (CN )/V (C60) = (8/9) √N/60 · cos2(πN/7). The model makes a striking, falsifiableprediction: a sharp local minimum in visibility for the C76 isomer, with a valueapproximately 30% lower than for neighboring C78 and C84 fullerenes, contradict-ing simple monotonic size-dependent decoherence models. A clear experimentalprotocol and falsification criterion are proposed.
