Cyber-Physical Energy System (CPES)
Abstract
The Cyber-Physical Energy System (CPES) translates bio-cosmic energy analogies into a practical hybrid storage solution. It couples gravitational potential with isothermal compressed air energy storage (CAES) and an autonomous AI agent layer, achieving realistic round-trip efficiencies of 83–87 % (ideal up to 92 %) and effective energy densities of 4.1–5.6 kWh/m³. Validated against recent gravity-enhanced CAES research (87.1 % RTE, 2.68 kWh/m³ density), CPES offers rare-earth-free, long-duration storage with
