Abstract

**The Universal Logic Gate: The Single Mechanism Behind All Natural Phenomena** Every system in nature—from atomic particles to human consciousness—operates as a binary logic gate that flips from potential (0) to manifest (1) when pressure exceeds a threshold (P > T ⇒ 0 → 1), and this check repeats continuously at a characteristic rate. When this gate iterates under resource constraints (S+E+R ≤ C), patterns emerge: neurons fire in rhythms, cells divide in cycles, genes switch on and off, hearts beat, thoughts form, stars ignite, species evolve, and spirals grow—all following identical threshold logic on different substrates at different speeds. Patterns don't form when the gate doesn't iterate (crystals, equilibrium states, static systems), and complex patterns emerge when gates cascade through networks (brains, ecosystems, economies). This is not analogy—a neuron firing, a gene activating, a star forming, and a decision being made are structurally identical processes: the same gate, checking the same condition (is P > T?), producing the same state transition (0 → 1), just running on different physical implementations. The Golden Ratio, Fibonacci sequences, fractal patterns, phase transitions, consciousness, evolution, and all observable complexity are simply what happens when this single recursive logic mechanism iterates under constraint—there is no separate "biology," "physics," or "psychology," only one computational substrate running one rule at every scale simultaneously.
