Abstract

Classical General Relativity predicts spacetime singularities under broad and physically reasonable conditions. These singularities are widely interpreted as signaling the breakdown of the classical description rather than the existence of physical infinities. In this work, we propose a minimal geometric principle intended to regulate gravitational collapse without modifying Einstein’s field equations in their domain of validity. We interpret: Ricci curvature as encoding spacetime creation or unfolding, Weyl curvature as encoding spacetime destruction via tidal anisotropy and structural compression. We introduce a Ricci–Weyl saturation condition: a universal bound on the relative growth of Weyl curvature with respect to Ricci curvature. This bound replaces classical singularities with a finite-curvature boundary surface, interpretable as the meeting point between spacetime creation and spacetime destruction. We show how this framework unifies: black-hole interiors, cosmological expansion, Penrose’s Weyl Curvature Hypothesis, regular black-hole models, quantum-gravity motivations such as holography and bounded information density. Black holes emerge as regions of maximal throttling of spacetime creation rather than terminal endpoints of geometry. This approach offers a purely geometric regularization of singularities that preserves the Einstein equations where they are expected to hold, while providing a unified geometric perspective on black hole physics, cosmology, and the interface with quantum gravity ideas.
