Abstract

The data from the OECD-harmonised Composite Leading Indicators (CLI), observed on a monthlybasis between September 2024 and June 2025 for a group of advanced and emerging economies, provide a valuable picture of global cyclical dynamics and short-term growth prospects. The natureof the CLIs, which are designed to anticipate turning points in economic activity, makes it possibleto interpret even small changes as signals of shifts in the macroeconomic trajectory. Overall, the indexstands around the reference value of 100, suggesting a phase of cyclical stabilisation rather thanaccelerated growth or marked contraction.
