Physiological, biochemical, and fatty acid responses of marine microalgae exposed to pristine and aged low-density polyethylene (LDPE) microplastics
Abstract
This dataset includes experimental data on the physiological, biochemical, and fatty acid responses of the marine microalga Nannochloropsis gaditana exposed to varying concentrations of pristine and aged low-density polyethylene (LDPE) microplastics. Growth parameters (Percentage Inhibition) Pigment content (chlorophyll a, chlorophyll c, carotenoids) Biochemical composition (Protein and Carbohydrate) Fatty acid profiles (FAME analysis) Oxidative stress and enzymatic activity (SOD, CAT, POD) The dataset supports the study titled "Influence of pristine and aged LDPE MPs on the growth, fatty acid biosynthetic enzymes, and cellular disruption on wild marine microalgae Nannochloropsis gaditana," which is currently under peer review.
