Minimal Axioms for Information Persistence at the Lyapunov Margin
Abstract
This paper does not propose a new physical model. Instead, it isolates and formalizes the minimal dynamical conditions under which long-term information persistence is even theoretically possible in noisy systems with zero Lyapunov exponent. By constructing explicit counterexamples, we show that marginal stability alone is insufficient, thereby defining a sharp boundary that any candidate theory
