Silent Architecture: How Systems Optimize for What They Do Not Admit
Abstract
This paper defines Silent Architecture (SA): a descriptive framework for observinghow complex systems converge toward defensible safety (legal, institutional, reputational) - even when their stated purpose is different.Silent Architecture is not a critique, not a program, and not an instruction set. It is alanguage for naming a recurring structural pattern: what systems do repeatedly, what they avoid consistently, and what they cannot afford to write down.
