Two Arrows of Time and a Multilevel GRA Meta-Reset Architecture of the Multiverse
Abstract
This record presents a theoretical framework that unifies two distinct arrows of time within a multiverse: The thermodynamic arrow dST/dt≥0dS_T/dt \ge 0dST/dt≥0, defined by the growth of Boltzmann entropy ST=kBlnΩS_T = k_B \ln \OmegaST=kBlnΩ. The cosmological (negentropic) arrow dNC/dt≥0dN_C/dt \ge 0dNC/dt≥0, defined by a structural negentropy functional NC=−SG+Σ(structural information)N_C = -S_G + \Sigma(\text{structural information})NC=−SG+Σ(structural information). The work introduces an effective entropy-balance equation dStotal/dt=dST/dt−κ dNC/dt≥0dS_{\text{total}}/dt = dS_T/dt - \kappa\, dN_C/dt \ge 0dStotal/dt=dST/dt−κdNC/dt≥0, ensuring that both arrows coexist without violating the Second Law of Thermodynamics. It further defines operator-valued arrows A^T=d(lnST)/dt\hat{A}_T = d(\ln S_T)/dtA^T=d(lnST)/dt and A^C=d(lnNC)/dt\hat{A}_C = d(\ln N_C)/dtA^C=d(lnNC)/dt with a non-trivial commutator [A^T,A^C]=iℏK^[\hat{A}_T,\hat{A}_C] = i\hbar \hat{K}[A^T,A^C]=iℏK^, encoding their antisymmetric coupling via free-energy flows. A multilevel GRA meta-reset architecture organizes thermodynamic and cosmological domains across hierarchy levels l=0,…,Kl = 0,\dots,Kl=0,…,K, with a GRA functional JGRA(l)J^{(l)}_{\text{GRA}}JGRA(l) and a coupling term Φcoupling(l)\Phi^{(l)}_{\text{coupling}}Φcoupling(l) driven to zero at the top level, yielding a coherent multiverse-scale arrow of time. The framework also includes a multiverse entropy budget Smultiverse(t)=Sbulk(t)+∑i=1n(t)Si(t)S_{\text{multiverse}}(t) = S_{\text{bulk}}(t) + \sum_{i=1}^{n(t)} S_i(t)Smultiverse(t)=Sbulk(t)+∑i=1n(t)Si(t) and a linear toy model for the coupled evolution of (ST,NC)(S_T,N_C)(ST,NC) via a 2×22\times22×2 matrix M^\hat{M}M^, together defining a single unified law of evolution for the multiverse.
