Intelligence-Augmented (IA) Chemical Darwinism under the Matter World Hypothesis:A Theoretical Framework for the Origin of Life
Abstract
The transition from non-living chemistry to organized biological systems remains one of science’s most difficult theoretical problems. Here I present the Matter World Hypothesis (MWH), a physics-based framework proposing that life emerged through selection processes acting on heterogeneous molecular mixtures under prebiotic environmental conditions. The hypothesis is supported by a series of stochastic computational simulations collectively termed the Chemical Darwinism computational series. These models suggest that molecular selection, cooperation, and protocellular organization can emerge naturally from physicochemical dynamics. This Perspective also presents the work as a case study in Intelligence-Augmented (IA) science, in which recursive collaboration between human reasoning and AI-assisted modeling accelerates interdisciplinary discovery.
