Modular Solar-Core Architectures for Optical GLUs_ Wave-like Scaling and Multi-Effect Geometric Logic
Abstract
This work introduces Modular Solar-Core Architectures for Optical Geometric Logic Units (GLUs), a wall-free computational paradigm that replaces closed, replication-based scaling with open, wave-like geometric expansion. A dense optical core acts as a state generator whose computational influence propagates into surrounding space via sparse external operators, termed Multi-Effect Bits. By extending computation into three-dimensional free space, the architecture decouples logical capacity from local hardware density and enables combinatorial growth of reachable states through geometric path multiplication rather than binary duplication. The framework formalizes wave-like scaling, heterogeneous core densities, and manifold-embedded logic based on SO(3) transformations, demonstrating how complexity, robustness, and routing emerge directly from spatial geometry. The Solar-Core model establishes optical GLUs as a third computational regime, neither digital nor quantum, where computation is governed by topology, curvature, and propagation rather than clocked state transitions, offering a scalable and noise-resilient foundation for geometry-intensive computation.
