THE COMPARISON OF TRADITIONAL AND INNOVATIVE METHODS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING
Abstract
In modern education, teaching English requires combining traditional methods with innovative approaches to enhance students’ motivation, engagement, and communicative competence. This paper examines the effectiveness of traditional methods, such as grammar-translation and rote learning, alongside innovative methods, including project-based learning, communicative approaches, and interactive digital tools. The study demonstrates that integrating both approaches provides a solid linguistic foundation while fostering creativity, active participation, and meaningful communication. A balanced combination of traditional and innovative methods ensures effective and comprehensive English language teaching.
