Supplementary Materials: Zero-Instruction Design — Implementation Protocols and Video Documentation
Abstract
This repository contains supplementary materials for the article "Zero-Instruction Design: A Constraint-Based Pattern for Self-Generated Mathematical Understanding" (Kalmakov, O. A., submitted to Educational Designer, 2026). The repository includes:- SM1: Three implementation protocols (Appendices A–C) providing step-by-step replication guides for the Equations Game, Hidden-Result Prediction, and Just-in-Time Consultation design patterns.- SM2: Annotated links to nine video recordings documenting implementation across grade levels (Kazakhstan, 2018–2025), with commentary connecting each video to specific theoretical claims in the article. The protocols provide sufficient operational detail for immediate replication by any teacher or tutor without additional training. Video documentation supports observational claims regarding self-sustaining engagement, voluntary practice volume, and cross-level structural isomorphism. All video recordings were made with written parental consent. No identifying information appears in the materials.
