Persistence Dissipation and Possible Restart in the Entropic Spacetime Field
Abstract
This paper represents an earlier stage in the development of the Entropic Spacetime Field (ESF) framework. The current reference implementation is presented in MMS-A19: The Entropic Spacetime Field: A Canonical Wave Framework for Cosmic Structure Formation 10.5281/zenodo.21433778, which supersedes the mathematical formulation described here while retaining a number of the underlying physical concepts. The Entropic Spacetime Field (ESF) models spacetime as a thermodynamic medium whose geometric properties emerge from entropy production, transport, and saturation within a persistent ripplefield microstructure. Previous work has demonstrated the viability of this framework across cosmological expansion history, scale separation, and non-linear stability. This note explores the long-timescale behaviour of the ESF medium beyond the late-time channelled regime. In particular, it examines whether extreme entropy saturation may lead to dissipation into a smooth, high-entropy phase, and whether residual thermodynamic memory could, under certain conditions, permit renewed gradient formation and structure development. No new degrees of freedom or external mechanisms are introduced; restart is presented as a conditional implication of thermodynamic persistence rather than a required feature of the framework. Possible implications for early structure formation and observational signatures of long-relaxation-time memory are briefly discussed.
