Abstract

Title: GRF-XIX: Analytic Spectral Hierarchy – A Speculative Toy Model for the Origin of Charged Lepton Mass Ratios This record presents the conceptual and analytic core of GRF-XIX, the final stage of the Geometric Refinement Framework (GRF) series — a long-running speculative exploration into whether the extreme hierarchy of charged lepton masses (1 : ~207 : ~3477) could plausibly arise from spectral properties of a chaotic complex dynamical system. The model is motivated by the idea that particle generations and their mass ratios might reflect Ruelle–Pollicott resonances (sub-leading decay rates of correlations) in a stochastic transfer operator acting on a vacuum with parabolic dynamics. We focus on the cubic parabolic map f(z) = z + z³ near its neutral fixed point at the origin (multiplier = 1), which produces three attracting parabolic petals at angles 0, 2π/3, 4π/3. In the presence of an ultra-low symmetry-breaking noise floor η (interpreted as Planck-scale vacuum fluctuations), the effective “refinement length” along each petal scales as L ∼ 1/√η. We introduce a three-component asymmetry vector that breaks the exact C₃ symmetry, leading to three distinct effective lengths. Spectral gaps are postulated as Δ_k = 1 / L_k², with masses inversely proportional to these gaps (m_k ∝ 1/Δ_k), reflecting different relaxation timescales of the vacuum modes. With a single tuned value η ≈ 1.31 × 10⁻¹⁰, the resulting hierarchy closely approximates the observed electron:muon:tau ratio (1 : 204.08 : 3472.45). A Cabibbo-like mixing angle is also derived from the ratio of the first two asymmetry components. This work is purely conceptual and exploratory. The ratios are obtained via an analytic scaling ansatz rather than direct dynamical computation; the asymmetry vector is fitted rather than emergent from first principles. No claim is made to physical realism — the exercise serves as a proof-of-concept illustrating how spectral gaps near parabolic cusps in complex maps might inspire geometric interpretations of flavor hierarchies. The series as a whole (GRF-I through GRF-XIX) systematically investigated clustering, Lyapunov exponents, Newton basins, transfer operators, stochastic kernels, and parabolic renormalization as potential geometric origins of particle generations. Intended audience: researchers in complex dynamics, flavor physics, and speculative model building interested in geometric/spectral approaches to the flavor problem.
